Operation Wallacea (Opwall)
On Thursday 26th February Hannah Thomas from Operation Wallacea came in to talk to Year 13 students.
This is an organisation that carries out Global research and conservation strategies throughout the world and provides opportunities for Sixth Form students to take part in, and support their work.
More information can be found on their website (Opwall) and it is interesting to note from this that the part of the work involves a weeks dive training course - (Who says Dive Malta is just a marketing gimmic!!).
Year 13 students are to give a short talk to Year 11 and 12 students to find out if any students are interested in getting involved in the project. The presentation can be downloaded here.
