Key Stage 4 Science
In Year 10 all students take AQA Core Science. This is a one year GCSE course and covers work on Biology, Chemistry and Physics.
At the Grove we are fortunate that each area of the course is taught by subject specialist teachers.
The course consists of six units, two from each subject area.
Additional and Applied Science
In Year 11 students have a choice of courses. Those who may be interested in carrying on to A Level Biology, Chemistry or Physics choose Additional Science, whilst those who wish to broaden their studies choose Applied Science. Both of these courses work towards a second Science GCSE qualification.
