Exams

For both AS and A2 Biology there are two written exams.  One is taken in January and the second is taken in June.  Mock exams are taken before each unit exam to assess students prior to the external exam and help to target revision.

You can monitor your learning by trying out the past paper exams from the Key documents section on the  AQA website

Coursework

Students will carry out two pieces of coursework during each of the AS and A2 courses.  As in GCSE this ISA assesses a piece of practical work that you have carried out during lessons and tests how well you can relate this to your How Science Works skills.

Syllabus

You can check what you need to know by downloading and reviewing the AQA Biology Syllabus.
