
Key Stage 4 Science (Year 11)
B2 Additional Science
As in Year 10 Core Science the Additional Science is taught by specialist teachers, covering the areas of Biology, Chemistry and Physics. The course is split into three modules, one from each subject area.

Exams
For Additional Science there are three written exams of which students can choose either foundation or higher. Mock exams are taken for these in December and the final external exams in June. You can monitor your understand and learning by trying out the past paper exams from the AQA website.
Coursework
As with the Core Science there are three pieces of coursework (isas) which will be carried out over the year. This once again assesses a piece of practical work carried out in the lesson and then tests how you can relate this to How Science Works.
